INDIA, Pre-Mauryan (Ganges Valley). Magadha Janapada. Ajatashatru and his successors, circa 5th century BC. Karshapana (Silver, 26 mm, 3.38 g). Six punches: six-armed Magadha imperial symbol, sun symbol, hare to right, bull in square and two florate symbols. Rev. Floral traces. Cf. Pieper 73 (with an additional elephant punch). Brushed, otherwise, very fine.
